County targets littering & trash

Embarrassed and exasperated by litter lining local roadways, county commissioners are tackling Taylor County’s trash problem.

“I frequently get calls about the amount of trash on both sides of Highway 221,” Chairwoman Pam Feagle said. “I call our staff, we call FDOT, they go out and pick it up, but two or three days after it is cleaned up, the trash is back just as bad as it was before.”
