Lincoln “Linc” Dean Murphy, 45, died Feb. 25, 2018, in Tallahassee. Linc was born Aug. 23, 1972, in Perry to Larry Dean Murphy and Judy Morgan Murphy.
Linc was an adrenaline junkie that loved mud holes, going as fast as he could and climbing trees how ever high he could. He liked to hunt for and make arrowheads and was known to bring a deer home in the early morning. Linc worked hard and loved life harder, he was always on the go. Linc was known to be a great welder and could fix anything. Even though we all know what he had tattooed on his arms, he knew and we all know that he was loved by many and hated by few.
Linc was preceded in death by: his dad, Larry Dean Murphy; and his grandparents, Ponce DeLeon Morgan and Lincoln and Maude Murphy.
He is survived by: his children, Morgan Murphy (Steve Berryhill), Megan Murphy, Larry Murphy and Jordan Murphy; his mother, Judy Murphy; his brother, Shannon D. Murphy; a grandson, Caden Leon Berryhill; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins that loved him dearly.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 2, at 2 p.m. At Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Ray Williams officiating. Internment services will follow immediately afterwards in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. On Thursday, March 1, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
