    John Herman “J.H.” Tedder, Jr.

    John Herman (J.H.) Tedder, Jr. left this world to be with the Lord Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018.

    There will be a celebration of life event Saturday, March 3, from 12-4 p.m. at Woodland Hall, (located at Triad Park, 9652 West Market Street, Kernersville, N.C. 27284). This will be a casual event and food will be served at 1 p.m.

    John/J.H. was born June 15, 1934, in Taylor County to the late Henri Etta Lanier and John Herman Tedder.

    In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, Richmond Tedder and Calvin Buchanan.

    Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife of 55 years, Hilda Jean Hunter Tedder of Kernersville, NC; sons, Kevin (Julie) and Todd (Cheryl) of Kernersville, N.C., and Scot (Annette) of Cameron, N.C.; daughters, Carol, Sandy and Lisa; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers Bryant (Betty) and Jack (Janice) of Perry and R. P. Tedder of Old Town; and sisters, Wanda Tedder Cash and Betty Jane Tedder Holton of Perry and Tina Tedder Anderson of Raleigh, N.C. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and friends.

    John/J.H. loved God, family, hunting, fishing, gardening and his fellow Marines. He never met a stranger. He was loved by his family and friends. He will be missed.
