Band director retires after suspension

High school band director Bill Shipley, who was suspended with pay following a complaint filed with the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), has opted to retire.

The school board approved his retirement (effective retroactively to March 1) without comment at their regular meeting Tuesday.
