    Juanita Dawn “Mama Nito” Wilbur

    Juanita Dawn “Mama Nito” Wilbur, 69, of Perry, passed away peacefully at her home on March 8, 2018. Juanita was born Feb. 4, 1949, in Greenwich, N.Y., to Everett Thomas Clark and Winn Fields Clark and moved to Perry in 1991.

    Juanita earned her G.E.D. and graduated from Taylor County High School in 1994, where she walked the stage with her daughter Crystal. She earned her teaching certificate in Childhood Development and taught in Taylor County Pre-K for several years before founding “Follow Your Dreams Daycare” in Perry, which she owned and operated for 12 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Bingo, playing cards, and spending time with her beloved pet, Lacey. Juanita was known as the “Blonde Bomber” and “Foxy Lady” on the CB Radio. To anyone that knew her, or just met her, they would say she was a “pistol.”

    She was preceded in death by: her parents, Everett Clark and Winn Wilcox; her first husband, Ray Crandall Sr.; her second husband, William “Bill” Wilbur; a son, Raymond Crandall Jr.; and two brothers, Thomas Clark and Denny Sequoia Clark.

    She is survived by; three sons, Bryan Crandall of Fair Haven, Vt., Wayne Wilbur and wife, Becky and Darren Wilbur and wife, Holly, all of Perry; two daughters, Heide Wilbur of Vt. and Crystal Grantham and husband, B.J. of Perry; two special daughters-in-heart, Desiree Mathis and husband, Brett of Perry and Robyn Green of Maine; three sisters, Donna McGrouty of Greenwich, N.Y., Pearl Parker of Mich. and Dolores Clark of Texas; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 12, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Bro. Danny Lundy officiating. Interment services followed in Pisgah Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service. All arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
