Johnson, Newman toss hats in ring for county seats

Two more locals have thrown their hats into the ring as candidates for the upcoming Taylor County Commission election cycle.

John Walter Johnson (D) has filed to run for the District 2 seat currently held by Commissioner Jim Moody (R), while Michael Elzie Newman will run for the open District 3 seat formerly held by the late Frank Russell.
