Ruby Eugenia “Gina” Massey

Ruby Eugenia “Gina” Massey, 70, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018. Gina was born Nov. 11, 1947, in Columbia, S.C.

She worked as a pharmacy tech at K-Mart for over 20 years and more recently in Winn Dixie pharmacy. In her spare time she loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.

Gina was preceded in death by: her son, Thomas “Jab” William Shaw; her mother and stepfather, Ruby Lee Chavis Raulerson and Stephen Owen Raulerson III; a brother, Stephen Owen Raulerson IV; and a sister, Catherine June Gebhart.

She is survived by: a daughter, Amanda (Clyde) Moody; a son, Pete (Alana) Massey; two grandchildren, Ashton Massey and Ty Massey; a sister, Diane (O’Neal) Ward; brothers, Stanley Raulerson, Kenneth “Jimbo” (Deborah) Raulerson, Johnny Raulerson and Paul (Sheila) Raulerson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held today (Friday) at 11 a.m. at Carlton Cemetery with Janet Oakleaf officiating. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
