County to allow local garbage collection service?

At the request of Chairwoman Pam Feagle, the county commission will soon consider a more relaxed policy or permit process under which local individuals (or businesses) could provide garbage collection, hauling and disposal services for county residents.

Taylor County currently offers a Solid Waste Hauling Services Permit, however the application requirements has been described as burdensome.
