Complaints from residents over recent road closures have prompted the Taylor County Board of County Commissioners to consider resuming maintenance — and possibly assuming ownership – of some private roads owned by Four Rivers Land & Timber Company.
At the county’s recent March 8 workshop meeting, Commissioner Jim Moody brought up the recent closure of a portion of Salem Tower Grade, which runs from Beach Road (CR 361) between Keaton Beach and Steinhatchee and Fish Creek Grade near Highway 19 South.
