Following a recommendation from County Administrator Ted Lakey, county commissioners recently voted to create a new Community Services Director position that will oversee the public library, county boat ramps, recreation, parks and manage community centers and facility rentals.
Lakey proposed a job description for the new position at the county’s March 5 meeting, stating, “We don’t have a librarian right now,” and “the library has evolved a lot in the last 20 years.”
