11 apply for Russell’s seat on commission

As of March 30, a total of 11 Taylor County residents have applied in hopes of being appointed to fill the District 3 County Commission seat left vacant by the passing of Frank Russell nearly two months ago on Feb. 10.

Governor Rick Scott’s office has yet to make a decision on who will be appointed to fill the seat until District 3 residents can vote in a new commissioner later this year.
