Former Taylor County High School Bulldogs’ baseball star Taylor Ratliff is one step closer to achieving his childhood dream after receiving news he was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 13th round of the Major League Baseball draft on Saturday, June 8.
Ratliff, a 6-2, 175-pound redshirt junior at the University of Florida (UF), earned All-America honors as a high school senior and again as a freshman at Jacksonville University before transferring to UF after his sophomore season and being forced to take a redshirt last year by the NCAA.
