Proposal calls for new assisted living facility

The Taylor County Development Authority (TCDA) has identified a group of three firms interested in working together to develop, construct and eventually operate an assisted living facility on a parcel of county-owned property adjacent to Doctors’ Memorial Hospital.

According to the proposal, if the multi-phase plan is built and staffed to capacity, the proposed facility could eventually employ up to 83 people with an annual payroll exceeding $1.3 million.
