    Spradley is asked who should lead emergency management

    As he took part in his first meeting as a sitting board member Tuesday, County Commissioner Steve Spradley was quickly put on the spot when asked for his recommendation on how the county should move forward with its Emergency Management Department.

    Near the end of the county’s May 7 meeting, County Administrator Ted Lakey addressed the board concerning the vacant Emergency Management (EM) Director’s position that Spradley stepped down from in order to accept the District 3 County Commission seat he was appointed to fill following the death of Commissioner Frank Russell.
