Brown to retire as city manager

City Manager Bob Brown has announced his retirement, effective Sept. 25, and the Perry City Council is in the early stages of considering how it will conduct the search for a new manager.

Brown notified council members individually last week of his decision, and a formal announcement was expected at Tuesday night’s regular council meeting.
