County hires Newman

At their May 7 meeting, county commissioners approved a recommendation from County Administrator Ted Lakey to hire Deidra Newman as the new Community Services Director.

The newly-created department head will oversee the public library, county boat ramps, parks and recreation and manage community centers and facility rentals.
