    5 step forward for Hampton Springs

    Despite widespread outcry from citizens concerning the county’s decision to address liability concerns by filling in the Hampton Springs pool just two months ago, only five citizens have applied to serve on a volunteer advisory board created to oversee the historic Taylor County landmark.

    At their May 7 meeting, county commissioners appointed all five applicants who applied to serve on the Hampton Springs Advisory Board, but were forced to ask County Attorney Conrad Bishop to amend the resolution creating the board because it was originally established to have seven members.
