The Taylor School Board has unanimously voted to ask voters to renew a 0.25 mill “critical needs” property tax for an additional four years to help fund academic, “non-core” programs such as music and physical education, as well as cover the cost of increasing operating expenses.
If approved by the Taylor County Board of County Commissioners, the referendum will go before voters on the Nov. 6 general election ballot.
