Baseball tourney will benefit Knowles family

Local youth baseball coaches, players and teams are invited to take part in a June 30 baseball tournament at the Taylor County Sports Complex to raise money for the family of Zack Knowles, a local six-year-old boy who was recently diagnosed with leukemia.

While Zack is undergoing tests and treatments at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, friends, family and community supporters are rallying together to raise funds to help the family cover medical and travel expenses, as well as lost wages. The tournament will include players ages 8-12 with an entry fee of $250 per team.
