Virginia Grantham

Virginia Grantham, 90, died May 26, 2018, in Perry. Virginia was born May 16, 1928, in Perry, to Roy E. Wilder and Lola Mildred Lisles Wilder.

Virginia was of the Baptist faith and was a member of New Home Baptist Church. She was a member of the Lady Elks for many years. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, gospel singing, arranging flowers and cooking for her big family. She was an avid FSU Seminole fan.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, James Alton Grantham; her parents, Roy E. Wilder and Lola Mildred Wilder; her sister, Lena Mae Mays; her daughter-in-law, Carol French; and her son-in-law, Al Jones.

Virginia is survived by: her children, Winston French (Laura), Warren Gregory (Cheryl Kay), Jeanne Raulerson (Harold), Michael Gregory (Betty Ann), Sherry Jones, Deborah Hale (Ken) and Karla Weekly (Mike); her sister, Montine Dotson; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m., at New Home Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Stading and Pastor Bill Jenkins officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Pineview Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at New Home Baptist Church. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
