Locals Mock, Brady share $4,000 from ‘Reeling for Kids’ Saltwater Challenge

Capt. Ashley Mock of Perry teamed up with Capt. Mark Brady from Steinhatchee and Capt. Rusty Lane from Ocala this past weekend to take home first place in the “Master’s Inshore Division” of the Doug Johnson Reeling for Kids Saltwater Challenge fishing tournament in Steinhatchee.

In addition to some nice hardware, the trio collected over $4,000 in cash by winning second place in two categories, placing first in the Master’s Category and winning the “Calcutta” pot.
Mock, Brady and Lane took second place in both the Spanish Mackerel (4.1 lb.) and Trout (4.55 lb.) categories, earning them $500 for each.
