Sullivan withdraws, Holton files to run for council seat

Two-time candidate Tonya B. Holton filed Monday to make a third bid for a Perry City Council seat, one day before Mayor David Sullivan announced he is no longer running for re-election.

Holton filed to run for the District 5 seat currently held by Sullivan, who officially notified Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland Tuesday of his intent to withdraw from the race.
