Mayor David Sullivan announced Tuesday he will not seek re-election to the Perry City Council, filing with Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland to withdraw his candidacy.
“I would like to thank the citizens of city District 5 for their confidence in selecting me to represent them on the city council these past four years. It has been a very challenging and demanding experience. I have grown as a person and have grown in my walk as a Christian. I believe we as a council have been fruitful in city endeavors and have been faithful to the task of representing our citizens well. There are many future challenging opportunities that the city will encounter as it goes forward and I know that its leadership will face them head on,” Sullivan said.
