New primary school takes shape

If you’ve been by the site of the new Perry Primary School lately, you may have noticed walls and roofing starting to go up.

“Last month we started putting on the roofing structures of the first classroom building,” Scott Brewer, project executive with Allstate Construction, said during the Taylor County School Board’s June 5 meeting.

PHOTO: Construction crews have been hampered in recent weeks due to rain, but Allstate Construction’s Project Executive Scott Brewer told school board members the “critical focus” will soon shift from structural to interior finishes.
