Ketring joins race for city council seat

Ward Eugene Ketring has filed to run for the Perry City Council District 5 seat just one day after incumbent Mayor David Sullivan announced he will not run for re-election.

Ketring joins Tonya B. Holton — who filed to run on Monday — in the District 5 city council race. Sullivan turned in his withdrawal document to Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland on Tuesday, and Ketring filed to run on Wednesday.
