Taylor County’s unemployment rate continued its downward trajectory in April, falling to 7.4 percent, just above the state average.
After staying mostly level around 9.2 percent in the last several months of 2012 and into January, the county’s unemployment rate dropped almost a full percentage point to 8.3 percent in February and then to 7.7 percent in March.
