Donna Roberta Nunn

Donna Roberta Nunn entered into eternal rest June 3, 2018, after several extended illnesses. Donna was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., July 17, 1946, and has been a resident of San Antonio, Texas, for many years.

She is survived by: her sister, Sue Everett of Perry; and two nephews, Ralph McDuffie of Umatilla, and John McDuffie of Honolulu, Hawaii. Donna will be lovingly remembered by her friends; her stepchildren, Jeffrey (Ulaunda) Nunn, Jennifer (Scott) Zamorski and Joshua Nunn, of Florida; and her former husband, Gary Nunn, of Alabama.

In the Navy, Donna served as Photo Intelligence 3rd Class. Later, she did some undercover police work. In Florida, she became a home health care nurse and then a Podiatry nurse, specializing in drug trials, in San Antonio, Texas. She enjoyed swimming, life-guarding and scuba diving. In her spare time, Donna also enjoyed playing bass guitar and singing in a band.

The family would like to thank Gary Leal and Ninfa Alba, of Gary’s Personal Care Home, (3325 Foxbriar Lane, Schertz, TX 78108) for the skilled, loving, constant care and comfort they provided to Donna during her last months on this earth. Donna’s ashes will be scattered at sea in Pompano Beach.

A memorial service for Donna will be held at Emeritus at Amber Oaks, (4415 Rio D’Oro, San Antonio, TX 78233) on her birthday, July 17, 2018, 10 a.m.
