Spradley wants lights at boat ramp, along Keaton Beach Rd.

Newly-appointed County Commissioner Steve Spradley is asking his fellow board members to consider a proposal to install lights at the Keaton Beach boat ramp and along Keaton Beach Road from the county boat ramp to county-owned Hodges Park.

During the ensuing discussion at a recent commission meeting, the rest of the board said they were not against the idea, but warned their newest member of the unintended consequences of granting citizens’ requests – namely upsetting other citizens who are not in favor of the proposal.
