of staff being forced to reserve motel rooms and conferences using personal credit – and the county incurring additional fees for not having an official charge account – county commissioners voted 5-0 to obtain two county credit cards at its recent June 7 meeting.
“I came to visit (Assistant County Administrator) LaWanda (Pemberton) last week and she was in a panic because she was having trouble with having to use her personal credit card to reserve something,” Commissioner Malcolm Page told his fellow commissioners.
