Docks generate 900 bids and $40,000

Taylor County should collect over $40,000 after receiving more than 900 bids to purchase some of the nearly 60 aluminum “finger” docks that were auctioned off by sealed bid last month.

According to Assistant County Administrator LaWanda Pemberton, the county looks to collect approximately $43,000 if all of the successful bidders submit payment and collect their winning bids.
