Monday fire

Smoke billowed out of vents and windows of a Park Street home yesterday, as a fire of unknown origin wreaked havoc on the interior of the residence.

According to City Firefighter R.B. Lee, four city firefighters, with the assistance of county and forestry firefighters, responded to the fire at 204 Park St., after a call came in at 1:02 p.m. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, however firefighters noted that the resident was in the process of remodeling. No one was injured.
