School officials ‘working hard’ to improve scores

Local school officials are working on plans to improve student achievement after the annual release of the Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) scores showed the district trailed the state average in almost every category — despite year-to-year improvements in many areas.

Superintendent Danny Glover Jr. acknowledged the district has areas in need of improvement, but also highlighted the “bright spots.”
