Murphy honored as ‘Clerk of the Year’

When Marcia Johnson began reviewing the field of nominees for her organization’s top award, she said she wanted someone she felt was a good role model, someone who was consistently up front and honest…a “true public servant with the highest moral character.”

The person she selected “is all that and more,” Johnson said last week, before announcing that Taylor County’s own Clerk of Court, Annie Mae Murphy, was this year’s “Clerk of the Year” for the state of Florida.
