Commissioners begin budget talks facing $1.2 million deficit

County commissioners and staff will reportedly tackle a $1.2 million deficit when they begin working on Taylor County’s proposed fiscal year 2018-19 budget in a series of budget workshops beginning on July 16.

The public budget workshops will be held at 9 a.m. at the Taylor County Administrative Complex (old post office) beginning on Monday, July 16, and continuing on Thursday, July 19.
