Man, 43, killed in crash

The Fourth of July holiday took a tragic turn Wednesday afternoon with the death of a Perry man killed in a one-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 19 South.

While the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) has not released the identity of the driver (pending next of kin notification), friend and co-worker Charles Wood confirmed that the victim was Eddie Acevedo, 43.
