City meeting marked by tense exchanges

The Perry City Council’s June 26 meeting took a testy turn with sharp exchanges between some members of the council and public.

It began when local pastor Dr. Willie Anderson expressed his opposition to the council stating it would not receive public comment during a (then) upcoming meeting to review applications for a new city manager.
