Paradise lost: Man, 60, killed during home invasion, 3 suspects charged

Clifford “Cliff” Kirk, 60, whose wife, Linda, was born and raised in Taylor County, died Tuesday morning at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md., after he was shot in the head during a July 5 home invasion at his residence in Belize.

Linda Kirk is a Taylor County High School graduate and the daughter of longtime Perry Newspapers employee Lillie (Marvin) Odom. She has numerous other local relatives, including sister and brother-in-law Marilyn and David Culpepper, nieces Jan Anderson and Diane Gunter and great-niece Janece Campbell.
