Taylor County voters will have the chance to decide this November whether or not to renew a 0.25 mill “critical needs” property tax for an additional four years to help fund academic, “non-core” school programs such as music and physical education, as well as cover the cost of increasing operating expenses.
The Taylor County School Board voted in May to put the issue before the voters, and last month the Taylor County Commission authorized its placement on the Nov. 6 general election ballot.
