‘Day of Saldado’ can’t live up to ‘Sicario’

The night before I went to see “Sicario: Day of the Soldado,” I was sitting at the bar in my favorite Tallahassee restaurant when an acquaintance asked me, “What is a film you thought was going to be bad, but turned out to be really good?” My answer came quick: “Pitch Black,” the sci-fi horror film starring Vin Diesel and Radha Mitchell. Later, as I was leaving for the night, I added, “If Sicario 2” is a good movie, then it would qualify as well.”

Well, having now seen the movie, I can say it unfortunately does not qualify for that particular list, although I will admit it is a decent film — which is still much better than I was expecting.
