When casting a ballot during the Aug. 26 primary election, voters will decide whether or not Taylor County officials continue to have access to one of their main economic development tools.
City, county and Taylor County Development Authority (TCDA) officials are encouraging voters to renew an “Economic Development Ad Valorem Tax Exemption” referendum for another 10 years, which would allow county commissioners to continue to grant full or partial property tax exemptions to new and expanding businesses.
