Body, car found in woods

Local and state law enforcement officers are still investigating the cause of death and identity of an unidentified body discovered near a vehicle Friday afternoon on an unnamed road in a heavily-wooded area of Taylor County located off Highway 98 West.

According to Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) Chief Chuck Mincy, on Friday, July 20, 2018, the sheriff’s office received information from the Port St. Joe Police Department regarding the location of a missing person – possibly near Hwy. 98 west of Perry.
