Still no positive ID on severely burned body

Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) investigators were able to release some additional details surrounding the severely-burned body discovered in a remote section of Taylor County last week, but many questions remain unanswered – including the official cause of death.

On Friday, July 20, the TCSO received information from the Port St. Joe Police Department requesting assistance with locating a missing person — listed as Gerald Dale Stokoe, a 75-year-old white male.
