New $21 million apartment project clears final hurdle

Thanks in large part to the ad valorem tax exemption incentive coming before local voters for renewal on the Aug. 28 ballot, Taylor County is poised to soon see construction begin on the county’s largest residential real estate investment to date.

Prospect Development Group — the developers behind a proposed $21 million, upscale apartment complex to be located on U.S. 19 in Perry — has cleared the last remaining hurdle standing in the way of beginning construction later this year.
