Crash leads to drug arrest

Drugs were found in the possession of a motorcyclist who fled deputies and crashed his bike into a ditch on U.S. Highway 221 Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 28.

The chase began when Lamar Daniel Nix of Perry was observed by Deputy Jordan Thigpen traveling northbound on Johnson Stripling Road at speeds of approximately 61 miles per hour in a posted 45 mile per hour zone.
