County to hold special meeting Sept. 7 at 4 p.m.

County commissioners are scheduled to hold a special meeting today (Friday, Sept. 7) at 4 p.m. to discuss and clarify the policy and procedures governing how the county is performing repairs and work on a number of private roads and driveways in the wake of a “local state of emergency” declared last Saturday.

According to County Administrator Ted Lakey, the meeting was called to allow commissioners and staff to clarify how requests for work on private property should be handled during the emergency declaration and beyond.
