Active shooter drill planned at TCHS Sept. 17

It is a scenario everyone hopes will never come true, but one the school district and emergency responders must be prepared for — an active shooter on a school campus.

The Taylor County School District has announced it will hold a “live active shooter drill” Monday, Sept. 17, at the Taylor County High School from 7 a.m. to noon. All roads near and around the school will be blocked off, and the campus will be closed to the public.
