After portions of Taylor County received nearly 20 inches of rain over the past month, county commissioners have opted to ease long-standing restrictions prohibiting the expenditure of taxpayers funds on private property.
As of press time Tuesday, the county had undertaken some $40,000 in repairs to make private roads and driveways passable for emergency vehicles under a “local state of emergency declaration.”
