Udell Wilson

Udell Wilson, 79, died Sept. 24, 2018, in Perry. Udell was born July 4, 1939, in Madison to Luther Wilson and Zettie Walters Wilson.

Udell was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He worked with the trucking industry for over 45 years. He loved the outdoors; hunting and fishing were his favorite hobbies.

Udell was preceded in death by: his parents, Luther Wilson and Zettie Walters Wilson; his brother, Thomas Wilson; and two sisters, Mary Lee Horton and Barbara Ann Russell.

Udell is survived by: his wife of 58 years, Sherry Wilson; three sons, Mike (Sandra) Wilson, Jeff (Lorri) Wilson and Greg (Sandra) Wilson, all of Perry; his brother, Davis Wilson; two sisters, Lucille Knowles and Norma Jean Horner; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; as a well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 27, at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Bro. Mark Pargo officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
