$15,678 back to the county

Suwannee River Water Management District Executive Director Hugh Thomas recently addressed the Taylor County Commission, giving them an update on the district and presenting the county with a $15,646.87 check for payment in lieu of taxes.

The district makes the payment each year to make up for the revenue the commission would receive in taxes if district-owned land within the county was in private hands.
