Back the Blue concert rocks Rosehead Park Sept. 29

It has been three months since Perry Police Department (PPD) K-9 Ptl. Timmy Murphy sustained serious burns during an accident at his home in late June. Although each day brings him one step closer to a full recovery, Murphy still faces an extended period of time off work.

But he doesn’t have to face those coming weeks and months alone – his brothers and sisters in blue are standing by his side. This Saturday, Sept. 29, they will host one of their biggest events ever, a “Back the Blue Music Benefit.” Proceeds from the concert will benefit not only the Timmy Murphy Recovery Fund, but also PPD’s “Shop With a Cop” program and local Special Olympics athletes.
